While I didn’t write the article and haven’t been to the site, I would definitely avoid travel in Turkey in July, except for beach destinations. Go for spring!

Your note about the nine-layer stratigraphy is the clearest explanation I have read for first-time visitors. Considering bringing my kids next summer, is July too brutal or should we aim for late spring?
